  • In the evening a city tour in Trincomalee
    • Visit Tiru Koneswaram
    • Renowned in legend and history, by a variety of names, such as Kona Malai, Tiru kona malai. Trincomalee is the site of the Sacred Hill of the three temples. Situated on the eastern sea board, the place finds mention in the great chronicle Mahawamsa by the name of Gokanna. And also Gokanna is one of the ancient port in Srilanka. During the Portuguese period the temple was destroyed. And later it has been refurbished.
    • The road goes through the fort Fredrick leads to the temple hill. The breath taking view from the hill of the temple towards the east coast attracts lot of people around the world. Also can be seen the white spotted Deer’s roaming around.
    • Fort Fredrick & the war cemetery In the early period of the Portuguese rule they were not in the least interested in taking possession of Trincomalee. But after the arrival of the Dutch in the east coast they got alarmed and took control of the two ports of Trincomalee and Baticaloa. In 1622 the Portuguese destroyed the temple as well, but Later the Dutch taken the control of the fort. In 1795 British taken over the fort and named, FORT FEDRICK after the then Commander in chief the Duke of York

  • Hiriwadunna village Trek
    • To get experience of real traditional Srilankan rural village life style, where you will travel in a bullock cart to a rural village through lush green paddy fields and canoe ride in a lake in habarana. Then you will be served tea and “jiggery” along with lunch made authentic typical countryside Srilankan style. Traditional cooking methods, and visit to paddy field to see how local farmers protect their crops from the wild animals including elephants. They demonstrate traditional methods of processing the rice in their homes
  • Thereafter visit Sigiriya Rock Fortress
    • Sigiriya is a unique combination of fifth century urban planning, landscaping, Hydraulic management, engineering, architecture, painting, sculpture and poetry.

  • After the Breakfast and leave to Kandy. 95km 2.20hrs
    • En route visit Dambulla Rock Cave Temple.Dambulla Rock cave Temple is a UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE SITE in Srilanka. The history of the temple dates back to 3rd Century BC. In the 1st century BC major five caves had been converted to beautiful interior carved temple. The caves consist of Buddha statues, statues of gods, statues of kings and as well as Bodhisattva. And the temple features 20000 of squre feet of ceiling paintings which is the largest south Asia.
  • Afterwards visit to a Spice garden in Matale.
    • Spices are main elements of the cuisines and medicines of Srilanka, then they taking us through the gardens and explains the health values of each plants. Cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, vanilla, cardamom black pepper, to name a few. Also can buy the products in their natural state or form of oils or in another form. Srilanka was famous for the spices since ancient period, especially cinnamon. Even now Srilanka is the no 1 Exporter of the True cinnamon to the world market.

Due to its high elevation Nuwara Eliya has subtropical highland climate, with a mean annual temperature of 16C. The recorded low temperature is -2.6 in January and December.
    • During the British colonial period, this is where the colonial officers spend their time for recreational works. Still British style Buildings can be observed

  • Breakfast and Proceed to Nanu Oya Railway station
    • The train to Ella is the most famous stretch of train travel in Sri Lanka, and is nearly a tourist attraction in itself. The Train pass by mist forests, tea plantations, waterfalls, bridges, tunnel etc. it will be wonderful experience to have in Srilanka

  • Visit Udawalawe Elephant Transit Home.
    • Is a place of rehabilitate of wild Asian baby elephants, they come to feed the milk every 3 hrs. Once they reached maturity they sent back to the jungle.

Tour Day 15

  • Visit to Udawalawe National park by jeeps.
    • Udawalawe National park is located in Udawalawe town which is border of the wet zone and the dry zone. It was declared as a National Park in 1972. The park is surrounded by Mountain ranges, and the park area is consist of mixture of grasslands, Teak plantations, water holes and etc. the average annual rainfall is 1520mm. and Udawalawe reservoir is located inside the park are which was built in 1960s. the park itself famous for large herd of elephants and bird watching. There are other several species of Deer, Wild boar, Peacocks, Mongooses, crocodiles, Water monitors, land monitors, Samba Deer’s,  Bandicoots, foxes, torque macaques, Gray languor, fishing cats, jungle cats, wild buffalos, various bird and many more. So keep your cameras and binocular ready!!!
  • Thereafter leave to Tissamaharama. 66km 1.15hrs
    • Tissamaharama is located in the south-eastern of Srilanka. It was the capital of Sinhalese kingdom of Ruhuna in the 3rd century BC. The large artificial Tissa tank also was built at during that time. And also starting point to Yala National park

  • The Yala National Park is the 2nd largest and most known national park in Srilanka. The park is consist of 5 blocks and mostly known for its highest density of leopards in the world. The park features moist monsoon forest, dry monsoon forest, marshy land, fresh water wetlands, maritime wetland, thorny forests, sand dunes etc. Srilankan leopards, sloth bears, Elephants, Crocodiles, mongooses, land monitors, peacocks, and monkeys are name of few.
